pharmaceutical sales reps still do. for some manufacturers, this has shifted to an allowance rather than a company-owned car.

My dad was given a company truck. He worked for Mossbreg Firearms at the time. They replaced a Toyota Tundra that one of their wood buyers drove, and gave it to him. It had 160,000 after three years of use, which is when we got it.

Better than nothing! Did his job involve driving, or was it just for his own personal use? How many miles on it when he turned it back in?

It was just his personal use vehicle the only thing work related he did with it was plow the parking lots, which was odd considering he was a manager and probably had better things to do lol. It had 200,000 miles on it 3 years later when he replaced it with a Ram which he bought himself, they did give it to him as a bonus tho, so he got to use it as a trade in on the Ram.

Made for weird background listening while working. Feeling glad I never worked in sales (or around salesmen).
So, where’s the one on the “pleasures and terrors of family motoring”?

My father works for a beer company partially owned by Mitsubishi (the big one), and so the company cars are Mitsubishi outlanders.

Mitsubishi (and all the other big Japanese conglomerates) crack me up. I still have an old, massive Mitsubishi rear projection TV. I should just replace it, but it still works and I just can bring myself to spend the money until it bites the dust.
